Three people have been stabbed after a fight broke out at a mosque in Hamilton, Ontario.

Police said they were called to the Hamilton Downtown Mosque at 221 York Blvd., near Queen Street North. around 2 p.m. this afternoon (May 2), following reports of an altercation.

Hamilton Police said that the fight started outside the place of worship and continued inside the building.

Two people were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, while another was treated at the scene

Police said they are now looking for two suspects and that all those involved knew each other. Investigators don’t believe it was a hate-motivated crime.

Suspect descriptions have not been released.
