RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) – Unsettled, breezy conditions are visible on the Golden West tower cam as showers and thunderstorms move through. A complex system crossed I-90 around 4:00, heading north through Meade County by 5:00, with Buffalo expecting activity by 6:00 p.m. Another wave of showers and storms may affect Custer County, but is more likely for Campbell, Crook, and Weston counties in northeastern Wyoming.

Tonight, low temperatures in western South Dakota will be in the middle to upper 40s, while northeastern Wyoming may see lows in the mid-30s. Gusty winds will affect much of KOTA territory, resulting in a breezy day, especially with highs around 45° in Sheridan and Gillette.

Thunderstorm chances will diminish around 8:00 or 9:00 p.m. in southwestern South Dakota. Meanwhile, periodic showers will go through Rapid City until the morning team arrives. It will rain intermittently from Sundance to Sheridan and Gillette, where upper-level …
