UPDATE May 29: Reality TV couple Todd and Julie Chrisley have been released from prison.
U.S. President Donald Trump signed pardons on May 28 for the couple and they were freed hours later. Todd was released from a minimum-security prison camp in Pensacola in the evening, and Julie left a facility in Lexington, Kentucky, according to Shannen Sharpe, a spokesperson for the couple’s lawyer.
“We just want to get home. We want to be reunited,” the couple’s daughter, Savannah Chrisley, told reporters outside the Florida prison earlier as she awaited her father. She said her brother Grayson was meeting their mother in Kentucky.
“My parents have not spoken to each other, heard each others’ voices or seen each other in the past 2 ½ years,” said Savannah, who wore a bubble gum pink MAGA hat and matching “Women for Trump” jacket.
