CHICKEN, Alaska (KTUU) – Yukon Highways and Public Works announced that the Top of the World Highway and its Alaska/Canada border are now open for the summer season.
The highway is the northernmost border crossing road in the state, sitting roughly 100 miles further north than the more popular Alaska Highway border crossing.
The Canada Border Services Agency says the hours of operation for the Little Gold Creek port of entry will be from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time (8 a.m. to 6 p.m. AKDT).
The port will remain open until Sept. 15.
