A weather system could bring severe thunderstorms, a tornado risk, strong wind and large hail to southern Ontario.

Environment Canada issued a thunderstorm outlook for Monday and Tuesday across the province.

The Weather Network said a “potent” Colorado low brings a severe thunderstorm risk on Tuesday.

Strong winds and large hail are possible over parts of northwest Ontario on Monday, Environment Canada said in a post on X.

On Tuesday, there is a severe thunderstorm potential for parts of southern and northeast Ontario with strong winds, large hail, and a risk of tornadoes possible, according to Environment Canada.

The forecast high for Monday is 20 C with mainly sunny skies in the GTA. The temperature could climb to a high of 24 C on Tuesday in the Toronto area but could get close to 30 C in southwestern Ontario, forecasters predict.
