Toronto weather: Cold temperatures, flurries return [Video]

After a relatively mild weekend, the cold weather is back in Toronto amid a 40 per cent chance of flurries Monday morning.

The temperature is currently hovering around the freezing mark and set to drop to -10 C later today. The snow is already falling in some parts of the city with local accumulations of two centimetres expected.

Cloudy conditions are set to persist throughout the day, before the temperature plunges.

“A few morning flurries will taper off over the city by midday. They’ll stick around longer for areas east of central Lake Huron and eastern Georgian Bay,” CP24 meteorologist Bill Coulter said. “We might even see a few sunny beaks before sundown. But, the cold winds in the wake of this morning’s flurries will drive the temperature down to – 10 C tonight, feeling close to – 20 by Tuesday morning.”
