The frigid temperatures will continue for at least another day in the GTA but a slight warmup could be on the horizon for later this weekend.
Environment Canada says that the temperature will hover around -8 C this morning but feel closer to -16 as wind gusts of up to 40 kilometres per hour continue to bring bone-chilling temperatures to the region.
The conditions will improve slightly on Friday afternoon but barely, with a daytime high of -3 C that will still feel like -7.
On Saturday, Torontonians will wake up to another cold morning with an expected temperature of -10 C that will feel as cold as -15 with the wind chill.
However, conditions will improve throughout the day reaching a high of 0 C on Saturday afternoon.
