A couple of tourists driving through rural Utah were stunned by an unexpected roadside gem—an entire gas station built into the side of a rock mountain.

The unusual find in Hanksville was captured in a video by TikTok user Siana (@sianalouise), a travel content creator based in the United Kingdom. The clip has gone viral, attracting more than 104,000 views since it was posted on March 21.

“We have just stopped in a petrol station in Hanksville in Utah. Let me show you how cool this place is,” Siana, who did not share her age or last name, says in the video, as she pans the camera to reveal the massive rockface that houses the store. The storefront is marked by a large sign that reads “Hollow Mountain,” and visitors pay for gas inside the rock-hewn building.

For Siana, the stop wasn’t part of a planned itinerary.
