According to the town, the move is due to the North Carolina Highway Patrol purchasing the building and will support operations for Brunswick, Pender, Columbus, and New Hanover Counties.

“We are eager to support the North Carolina Highway Patrol and excited about this development and the opportunities it brings for the future of Belville,” said Mayor Mike Allen. “We appreciate the community’s patience and cooperation during this transition period.”

The town says the move will happen within the next few weeks and town hall operations will continue in the current location until the transition.
