The Ali home on Glancaster Road is where the family should feel safest, but that sanctity was “shattered” when, in the middle of the night, three men smashed their front door, dragged off 63-year-old Faqir Ali and shot his two sons.

For more than six hours on Sept. 21, 2021, Ali was beaten and held at gunpoint, while the trio demanded $400,000 cash, court heard Friday. He was then dumped unconscious and bleeding from his face and head in the middle of a live lane of traffic on Beach Boulevard near Jimmy Lomax Park.
