Truck loaded with 8,000 pounds of paint burns on an Ontario highway [Video]

Highway 404 was closed Wednesday morning after a truck loaded with paint caught fire.

The road painting maintenance truck caught fire around 2:30 a.m. in the southbound lanes of Highway 404 at Bloomington Road, OPP said on X.

Bloomington Road is south of Aurora.

The vehicle was loaded with 8,000 pounds of paint, police said.

No injuries were reported but it made a mess of the highway.

Police said all lanes were closed for cleanup and reopened at 9 a.m.
