Toronto (Canada): Hundreds of protesters gathered in Toronto’s Nathan Phillips Square in a show of support for Ukraine to mark 3 years since it was invaded by Russia. Ukraine has entered the fourth year of all-out war with Russia, unsure it can rely any longer on the United States. Protesters in Toronto said Trump “has a chance to be on the right side of history” by including all parties involved in peace talks. At the heart of the current relationship is a deal under discussion that could open up Ukraine’s mineral wealth to the US. Zelenskyy refused to sign an initial draft deal earlier this month, protesting that it was not in Ukrainian interests.
