Two charged following assault and break-and-enter in Cambridge [Video]

Waterloo Regional Police are continuing to investigate an assault and break-and-enter in Cambridge.

Police were called to the area of King Street East and Union Street around 11:40 p.m. on Dec. 21 for a report of an assault.

According to police, a 21-year-old man was assaulted by two suspects while outside a residence. The victim reportedly returned to the residence and then shortly after, the suspects forced entry into the home and continued to assault the victim.

A 17-year-old from Cambridge has been arrested and charged with assault, assault causing bodily harm and break and enter.

A 48-year-old Cambridge man has been charged with assault causing bodily harm, break and enter and assault with a weapon.

Police did not release any information regarding the extent of injuries.

The investigation is ongoing by WRPS’ General Investigations Unit.
