Two armed gunmen are on the loose after a home invasion in Ajax late last month.

Durham Police say two men forced their way inside a home near Williamson Drive and Tozer Crescent on Monday, April 28 after a homeowner answered a knock on his door.

One of the suspects had a firearm and demanded that the victim hand over jewellery. The suspects stole a quantity of cash, electronics and $10,000 worth of jewelry before fleeing.

The victim did not report any physical injuries and police believe this is an isolated incident.

The first suspect is described as a Black man with possible braided hair. He was wearing all black clothing. The second suspect is described as a Black man with a light complexion. He was wearing a grey sweater.

The suspect vehicle was a black Toyota Camry four-door sedan with tinted rear windows and alloy rims.
