Crews pull charred debris from 157 Oak Ave., a central Hamilton home was damaged in a fire early Sunday morning.

Two people were sent to hospital, one in critical condition after jumping out of a window to escape a central Hamilton house fire, early Sunday morning.

Neighbour Theresa Coma told The Spectator that her upstairs tenant saw the victim — her male neighbour at 157 Oak Ave. — jump out of the first-floor window “on fire” and with “charred hands.”
