Two drivers have been injured following a two-vehicle collision that happened on Highway 7 in Perth, Ont. Thursday afternoon, according to the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).
Police say they received a call shortly before 3:30 p.m. reporting a two-vehicle collision on Highway 7 and Wilson Street. When crews arrived at the scene, they found one driver was trapped in their vehicle. They were extricated by firefighters and transported to hospital.
The second driver was also transported to hospital. While one driver is in non-life-threatening condition, the other driver’s condition remains unknown, police said in an update Friday. They did not specify which driver’s condition remains unknown.
“A car was westbound on 7 when it collided with an SUV in the intersection,” the OPP said in the update.
Prior to the collision, police received multiple traffic complaints about one of the vehicles involved, a Kia Rio, according to the OPP.
