Two women randomly assaulted on GO trains: police [Video]

Two women were randomly attacked on GO trains Monday night and police say they are searching for a suspect in the “unprovoked” assaults.

Durham Regional Police said officers were called at approximately 7:35 p.m. to Pickering GO station and learned that a 50-year-old woman on board an eastbound train was assaulted.

“The suspect struck the victim in the face multiple time and then exited the train,” police allege.

The victim was transported to the local hospital, where police said her injuries had been determined as serious.

Police said they were called to the same station two hours later for another assault.

They allege a 33-year-old woman was travelling on an eastbound train when she was assaulted by the same suspect.

“The victim was able to get to an adjacent cab where a group of citizens waited with the victim for police at Pickering Station,” police said. She was later taken …
