The massive snowstorm that hit the U.S. on Monday could impact flights out of Toronto Pearson Airport in Mississauga.
At least four people died and dozens were injured in the major winter storm on Monday, U.S. news outlets report.
The storm moved across the Midwest to the mid-Atlantic causing major transportation issues. Roads were closed and hundreds of flights were cancelled. The Kansas City International Airport shut down for a short time.
Some areas had more than 35 cm of snow, news agencies report.
On Tuesday, officials continue to clear the snow at U.S. airports and Pearson Airport officials said airlines are catching up after the storm.
New York City airports may be impacted. Philadelphia International Airport reported residual effects of weather may cause delays on Tuesday.
Travellers to the U.S. are encouraged to check their flight status.
