A new analysis reveals Canada’s healthiest and unhealthiest provinces.
The new year is often a time to evaluate health goals and head to the gym to boost physical fitness. Healthy eating and exercise are the most common New Year’s resolutions, according to Statistics Canada.
Typically by February though, old habits return. A Baylor College of Medicine report found that 88 per cent of people who set New Year’s resolutions fail before the end of January.
But some Canadian residents may have a better chance of getting healthy than others. Where you live could play a role in how healthy you are overall.
A report from Preszler Injury Lawyers, based on Statistics Canada data, ranks provinces for overall health. Using 22 health indicators, including life expectancy, lifestyle choices, mental health, and physical health metrics, the study standardized data on a scale from 0 to 10 to allow accurate comparisons between provinces.
