University of Alaska Fairbanks to host annual Festival of Native Arts [Video]

FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTUU/KTVF) – Starting Thursday, the annual Festival of Native Arts will be taking place at the University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF) campus.

The event has been running since 1973 — primarily planned by UAF students and community volunteers, who total more than 100 people. The event features a marketplace for artisans and workshops for attendees to learn about Alaska Native culture.

Each evening from Feb. 27 to March 1, Davis Concert Hall on campus will host performances of music, dance, storytelling, and art, while the Great Hall outside the concert hall will be the location for the marketplace.
