UPDATE: Halton Regional Police are advising drivers that Mount Forest Drive remains closed between Tyrell Road and Royal Drive after two houses caught fire on Saturday morning.
The closure is expected to remain in place for several hours. Motorists are asked to avoid the area and use alternate routes.
According to X user Graham Paine, the flames spread to the attic of a neighbouring home. Fire crews also rescued a dog from the property and successfully resuscitated it on scene.
