Canadian police say the death of a 19-year-old Walmart employee who burned to death in a walk-in bakery oven is not suspicious.

Gursimran Kaur was found dead in the oven at the Walmart located at 6990 Mumford Road in Halifax, Nova Scotia, around 9:30 p.m. on October 19.

Kaur and her mother, originally from India, worked at the Walmart location for two years.

Kaur’s mother felt something was amiss when she didn’t see her around the store and eventually found her daughter’s “charred remains” in the large Walmart bakery oven, according to a GoFundMe created for Kaur’s family by a Maritime Sikh Society executive.

The Halifax Regional Police’s completed investigation determined the death is not suspicious and there is no evidence of foul play, the department announced Monday. Police have yet to identify Kaur …
