Weather forecasters now say up to 35 cm of snow could hit the GTA this weekend.

Many residents are still digging out from the biggest snowfall of the season this week.

But more snow is on the way Saturday and Sunday. Initially, forecasters predicted around 10 cm of snow each day but that number has gone up with a “significant weather outlooks” for the Family Day weekend, according to Environment Canada.

The Weather Network is forecasting up to 15 cm of snow on Saturday and another 20 cm on Sunday in the GTA.

But Environment and Climate Change Canada predicts about five to 10 cm on Saturday and another 15 to 25 cm on Sunday in the GTA.

Saturday’s weather will be cloudy with a 40 per cent chance of light snow in the morning, Environment Canada said. Wind gusts up to 20 km/hr are expected. A high of -2 C …
