A tractor-trailer jackknifed on US 22 westbound, crashing into the concrete barrier, causing delays on both sides.
HARRISBURG, Pa. — A crash on US 22/322 in Dauphin County is causing significant traffic delays, and roads aren’t expected to reopen around 5 p.m. Friday, according to 511PA.
On US 22 westbound between Exit PA 325 East – Mountain Road and Exit PA 147 North – Halifax in Middle Paxton Township, a tractor-trailer jackknifed and went off the road.
The tractor-trailer hit the concrete barrier and caused significant damage, with debris shutting down the left lanes east and west, according to a PennDOT spokesperson.
A fuel spill has also been reported and is being cleaned up, along with a possible barrier replacement.
In the right lane, traffic is able to get by, but the traffic backup is significant.
