The US Supreme Court on 25 January approved the extradition of Tahawwur Rana, accused in the 2008 Mumbai attacks, to India. Rana, a Canadian citizen of Pakistani origin, had appealed the decision, but the court rejected his petition. The Ninth Circuit had earlier ruled that the US-India Extradition Treaty allowed his extradition.
