PHILLIPS, Wis. (WSAW) – The Price County Sheriff’s Office said an explicit video that was shown during the May 7 Price County Highway and Transportation Committee meeting did not come from any electronic devices owned by Price County.

Price County Sheriff Brian Schmidt said during the meeting, a user labeled as ‘James iPhone’ joined from an IP address, which traced back to a datacenter in Ontario, Canada.

According to a news release, the user entered approximately 13 minutes into the meeting and displayed explicit content on the Price County video screen/streaming service. Schmidt said Price County employees took immediate action to stop the video feed.

Exact details about what was shown were not released.

The investigation concluded that no Price County employees were responsible for displaying the explicit material.

Price County has added changes to hopefully prevent future disruptions.
