A vehicle was set on fire in Montreal’s Saint-Laurent borough early Tuesday morning.
Montreal police (SPVM) received a 911 call at 2:45 a.m. about the blaze near Jean Bouillet Avenue and Keller Boulevard.
“When the fire department arrived on site, they rapidly controlled the situation,” said Jean-Pierre Brabant, a spokesperson with Montreal police. “There was a suspect that was seen leaving prior to the fire on that vehicle.”
Brabant says the vehicle is a total loss, but there were no reported injuries and no other damages in the area.
Investigators are at the scene to determine the circumstances leading up to the fire.
The file has been transferred to the Montreal police arson squad.
