Vehicles flee scene of crash that left 1 dead in Ontario: police [Video]

Two vehicles involved in a fatal crash in Guelph on Wednesday both fled the scene, police say.

Ontario Provincial Police said officers responded to a two-vehicle crash at around 6 p.m. on Hanlon Parkway.

One person was found with life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital where they were pronounced dead.

It’s not clear is they were inside one of the vehicles at the time of the crash.

“Both vehicles involved in the collision had fled before officers arrived,” OPP said.

“Investigators want to speak with the drivers of these vehicles.”

One was described as a grey Toyota Venza SUV with the Ontario licence plate CVBX 602, police said.

The other was described as a white Dodge RAM pickup with the Ontario licence plate BZ 85153, OPP said.

Officers also appealed to the public to come forward with any relevant video footage or information.
