Warren Stewart, 36, was shot and killed on June 6 in northeast Austin, according to police. His brother, Tevin Stewart, has been charged with murder.

Austin police said 31-year-old Tevin Stewart was arrested for first-degree murder in the shooting death of his brother, 36-year-old Warren Stewart.

Just before 10:30 p.m. on June 6, Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services (ATCEMS) responded to a call from a person who said they needed help in the 9800 block of Halifax Dr., not far from East Rundberg Lane and Dessau Road. 

First responders said they found Tevin Stewart pointing to his brother, who was on the ground and appeared to have been shot. 

Warren Stewart died at 11:09 p.m. Upon further investigation, law enforcement discovered that the brothers lived together at the time of the shooting.
