Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland and Intergovernmental Affairs Minister Dominic LeBlanc speak after an emergency meeting with provincial premiers, where they discussed the threat by U.S. president-elect Donald Trump to impose 25 per cent tariffs. Freeland says they agreed on the need to work in a united way to address the challenge while premiers’ council chairman and Ontario premier Doug Ford put out a statement accusing the federal government of being flat-footed.
