Celebrations erupted across Rafah as thousands of Palestinians began returning to the city after a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip took effect on Sunday. Residents found scenes of mass destruction across the city that was once a hub for displaced families fleeing Israel’s bombardment elsewhere in the Palestinian enclave.
