York Region Police video captured arrests of those who tried to break into a jewelry store.
A dramatic video shows police taking down a gang that was trying to smash their way into a Toronto jewelry store.
Taken by the York Regional Police helicopter unit, the video shows a vehicle pull up to the store as the passengers get out and use sledgehammers to try to break into the North York shop.
Police soon arrive with a cruiser smashing into the getaway car. As the culprits attempted to flee they were then rounded up by officers.
Six males, all underage, now face several charges.
Officers had been on their tail earlier following reports of a stolen vehicle in Vaughan.
The helicopter followed the gang to a plaza at Billy Bishop Way and Wilson Avenue in Toronto and watched as they tried to smash their way into the jewelry store.
