Mass protests continued for a seventh night in Georgia on Dec. 4, triggered by the governing party’s decision to suspend negotiations on joining the European Union. It came after Georgian police raided the offices of an opposition party and arrested its leader earlier in the day in an apparent attempt to halt the movement.
