VIDEO: Vehicle found in Lake Ontario in Mississauga [Video]

Police are investigating after a vehicle was found in Lake Ontario in Mississauga early Friday morning.

Emergency crews responded to a call for a partially submerged vehicle in the water at Lakefront Promenade Park just before 6 a.m., a Peel Regional Police spokesperson told INsauga.com.

The police dive team and Mississauga Fire and Emergency Services rescue team were at the scene Friday morning, police said.

Crews pulled a cube truck out of the water around 11 a.m.

Just before noon, a police spokesperson said that there was no one in the vehicle.

Peel and Toronto police boats were at the scene. A diver searched the water and secured a cable to the truck before it was pulled out.

The south boat launch ramp at Lakefront Promenade Park was closed for the police investigation, the City of Mississauga said on X.

Officials asked people to avoid the area.
