The Rotary Club of Bowmanville unveiled its centennial gift to the community Tuesday, a vintage-style street clock now counting down the next hundred years at Clarington’s Town Hall.

Donated by the club to celebrate their century of service, the clock honours Rotary’s “extraordinary dedication” to the community and, declared Clarington Mayor Adrian Foster, reflects the “heartbeat” of the community – linking past, present, and future.

“Our downtown Bowmanville is something special. It’s a living history book, full of the stories and moments that have brought everyone together here in Clarington for over a hundred years. And now, thanks to the Rotary Club of Bowmanville, we’ve got another wonderful addition to celebrate,” Foster said. “This timeless gift is such a thoughtful way to honour our community, and we’re truly grateful for it.”
