Movie-goers can try out the VIP experience for the regular price at some Ontario movie theatres this month.

Cineplex, which offered $5 movie nights last month, is now holding VIP days every Wednesday in May, according to a press release from the theatre chain.

Adults (aged 19 years or older) can buy a VIP ticket for the cost of a regular ticket on Wednesdays in May.

Depending on the film and venue, VIP tickets are around $20 including tax and the online booking fee of up to $1.50. A regular ticket is around $12.

VIP Cinemas offer an adult-only escape where guests can grab dinner, drinks, dessert and a movie in one place.

Guests can enjoy spacious, comfortable seating and personal in-seat service featuring a VIP menu.

VIP guests can get classic movie snacks, including popcorn (with or without extra butter), along with an expanded crafted food and beverage menu with signature cocktails and specialty food items.
