BANGOR REGION — Lisa Sockabasin of Wabanki Public Health and Wellness stopped by our Bangor studio Tuesday about the significance of the Fall season in Wabanki culture.
They refer to it as the season of “abundance” or ktanaqson.
It was also an opportunity to celebrate Fall foods and the various components of the Fall harvest that nourish us. To that end, they are highlighting a world-recognized cookbook that was developed by indigenous people from the country of Greenland, Wabanaki Territory, University of Southern Maine and Edible Maine.
