Warm, sunny Mother’s Day weekend forecast for southern Ontario [Video]

A perfect Mother’s Day weekend is forecast for southern Ontario.

After a dip in temperatures on Thursday, warm weather is expected on the weekend.

The latest forecast is for slightly above-normal temperatures and sunny skies on both days in Mississauga, Toronto, Brampton, Burlington and Oakville, according to Environment and Climate Change Canada.

A high of 19 C and a low of 2 C with clear sunny skies is forecast for Saturday.

Nearly the same is expected on Mother’s Day, Sunday, with a high of 19 C and a low down to 9 C. Perfect day for a patio brunch.

The normal temperature for this time of year is around 18 C with lows of 6 C, according to Environment Canada.

Hamilton and Durham Region will see highs of around 17 to 18 C and sunny conditions on Saturday and Sunday.

The temperature is expected to climb into next week with highs up to 26 C forecast.
