PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) – The warmest week of the year so far is this week, with temperatures reaching up close to 90 around the middle of the week.

Heading into Sunday night, we will see temperatures cool off into the mid 40s, with clouds mostly clear, apart from some lingering wildfire smoke from Canada. This smoke is not expected to cause any health issues in our area due to the limited quantity in the region. Most of the smoke is to our south and west.

Tomorrow our warming trend continues, with temperatures reaching into the mid-upper 70s, and skies remaining mostly clear.

Temperatures will continue to rise through the middle of the week, peaking on Wednesday in the mid-upper 80s. A temperature of 90 showing up in the area is not out of the question, which would mark the first 90 day in 2025 for our area.
