Warm temperatures arrive in Manitoba, but not for long [Video]

Relief is here – it is much warmer on Wednesday in Manitoba.

A warm front leading a low pressure system over the Northwest Territories is moving milder air into Manitoba today and on Thursday.

As much as that’s bringing a warm-up to the south, the northwest is the warmest part of the province this afternoon. The Pas and Flin Flon are forecast to reach a very mild January high of -1 C, while Lynn Lake and Brochet are expected to climb to -3 C.

Southern regions won’t see temperatures climb quite as high, but very close – most areas will see highs in the minus single digits.

However, the warm air won’t quite reach areas closer to the eastern border and in northwestern Ontario just yet.
