Warming temperatures and weather warnings [Video]

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – West coast areas of Alaska are going to see strong winds, creating blizzard conditions Tuesday and Wednesday.

High winds and blowing snow will hit the western portion of the state and go through early Wednesday. Warnings for blizzard conditions and winter weather along with advisories are in place over the region.

Snowfall inland of the west coast, in the lower Innoko and Yukon River Valleys could range from 6 to 10 inches. Winds could reach up to 60 mph for Gambell and Savoonga on Saint Lawrence island. Winds along the west coast will range from 30 to 50 miles per hour.

Southcentral will see coastal rain, mountain snow, and gusty winds.
