OVERNIGHT – WEDNESDAY: After bringing wind chills in the 30s to 50s below zero for the past few days, the arctic air finally moved east throughout Tuesday afternoon. However, in return, snow showers and gusts led to a problematic evening commute in some areas. Overnight into Wednesday morning, the wind gusts may drop below 30 mph, so the risk of blowing snow will be low. During the early morning hours, however, the back end of an Alberta Clipper may bring a few snow flurries and showers into our region. Those flurries and showers won’t produce much accumulation, and thankfully, they move out before the early afternoon hours, leaving cloudy skies for the rest of the day. There is, however, the potential for patchy blowing snow, as northwesterly gusts above 30 mph are likely in some areas. That can affect visibility, so stick with Valley News Live for any updates.
