Police are warning the public about a high-risk offender now living in the Oshawa area after serving a sentence for breaching a court order.
Durham Regional Police said in a news release that Keith Theodore Constantin, 45, has a history of serious criminal convictions including sexual assault, sexual assault with a weapon, assault, robbery, possession of explosives, uttering threats and repeated violations of probation orders.
Investigators say Constantin poses a significant risk to the community, particularly to children.
He is under court-ordered supervision and electronic monitoring.
Constantin’s release comes with several conditions, including not being alone with anyone under 16 unless accompanied by a responsible adult and staying away from locations where children are likely to be present, such as schools, playgrounds, daycares and community centres.
He is also prohibited from using the internet, owning weapons, consuming alcohol or non-prescribed drugs and must follow a nightly curfew from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m.
