Richard Madeley today grilled Rachel Reeves during a heated clash on Good Morning Britain over claims she ‘exaggerated’ her CV which earned her the nickname ‘Rachel from accounts’. 

The host, 68, brutally tore into the Chancellor, 45, as he quizzed her about why she had lied about the length of time she had worked at the Bank of England

Mr Madeley went through her career history in a 20 second blitz, which included roles at the Bank of England, the British embassy in Washington, and the Halifax Bank of Scotland.

The Chancellor looked uncomfortable as she was asked why she had not revealed the true length of her tenure at the Bank of England.
