Nov. 20 (UPI) — A Canadian grandmother completed 1,575 pushups in one hour, earning her second Guinness World Records title.

DonnaJean Wilde, 59, of Beazer, Alberta, took on the title for the most pushups in one hour (female) and managed to surpass the previous record with 17 minutes of her attempt remaining.

“I had to fight back the happy tears and emotions and keep going,” Wilde told Guinness World Records. “I still felt quite strong and I was aiming for a high number of push ups to complete in the next 17 minutes.”

Wilde previously set the record for the longest time in an abdominal plank position (female) at 4 hours, 30 minutes and 11 seconds. She said training for that record prepared her to take on the pushup title.

Wilde’s latest record attempt was attended by 11 of her 12 grandkids.
