On Monday, April 8, at least 32 million people across the United States will find themselves in the path of a totality, where the moon will completely block the sun, providing a long and intense period of darkness. This will be the last of its kind in the U.S. until 2044.

A total solar eclipse crossing North America will darken skies along a path through Mexico, the United States and Canada on Monday.

Totality will last up to 4 minutes, 28 seconds in certain spots. ABC News is offering coverage from across the country starting at noon in the YouTube player above.

The first location in continental North America to experience totality: Mexico’s Pacific coast, about 1 p.m. Monday.
