Halifax water issued a public service announcement just after 12 p.m. Saturday to say crews are on-site for an emergency repair near 18 Lister Dr., Bedford, N.S.

Water service is shut down in the area. There is no estimated restoration time.

Customers in the area may experience discoloured water during or following repairs. It is recommended that customers run cold water from one faucet until it runs clear.

Lister Drive is open to local traffic only. Experienced personnel are on-site to manage traffic. Motorists should expect delays and use alternate routes.
