Police say a 44-year-old man has been arrested following an incident that saw a school put on a partial lockdown in an Ontario town.
The OPP says officers from the Southern Georgian Bay detachment were working an active investigation around 9 a.m. on Wednesday when they were called to a home on Frazer Drive in the town of Midland, approximately 50 kilometres north of Barrie.
Police closed off Frazer Drive and put nearby St. Theresa’s High Catholic High School on a hold-and-secure order “in an abundance of caution.”
The partial lockdown was in place for hours while police were on the scene with the hold-and-secure order lifted around 1 p.m. Police did not say whether any injuries were reported during the incident.
