A weather advisory is in effect for parts of southern Ontario Monday morning.

While the rain has stopped and the skies are clearing, there is a chance of heavy fog in areas just north and west of the GTA.

Areas of dense fog have developed in the area around London, Ontario and cottage country, according to Environment and Climate Change Canada.  The fog will dissipate later Monday morning.

Visibility may be significantly and suddenly reduced to near zero, the advisory states.

“Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility in some locations,” Environment Canada said. “If travelling, be prepared for areas of near-zero visibility.”
