This morning, a frost advisory is in effect for several regions across southern Ontario as temperatures are expected to drop to near the freezing mark.
Environment Canada is urging residents in frost-prone areas to take protective measures, especially for sensitive plants and crops that could be damaged by early-morning frost.
Areas under the advisory include:
- Uxbridge
- Beaverton
- Northern Durham Region
- Caledon
- Guelph
- Erin
- Southern Wellington County
- Kitchener
- Cambridge
- Region of Waterloo
- Stratford
- Mitchell
- Southern Perth County
Officials recommend covering or bringing in plants where possible to minimize frost damage, particularly in low-lying or rural areas more susceptible to rapid overnight cooling.
The advisory is expected to lift later this morning as temperatures rise with daylight.
